"Fathers and Sons" 1999  Peter W. Michel,   painted wood sculpture  23-1/2" high x 23-1/2" in diameter.
This sculpture celebrates relationship, community and the spirit of playfulness.. It symbolizes the support structure
provided by fathers upon which their sons can play, grow and become men.  (photo on right is by JoAnn Cucci)

Fathers and Sons detail
A 10 foot tall painted aluminum version of Fathers and Sons was installed on Chicago's Navy Pier for Pier Walk '99.
After being on display on the Navy Pier for 6 months, it was moved to the Wandell Sculpture Garden in
Meadowbrook Park in Urbana, IL.
